As we progressed, we realized that the manufacturing of this product is dominated by small workshops who make the boxes on an ad-hoc basis as and when they receive orders. The quality is often compromised with no assurance of after-sales service support. Even though there are many quality bike delivery box manufacturers based in China, however, the limitation of fulfilling their high ‘Minimum Order Quantities’ coupled with huge delivery lead times makes the buying decision tough for a potential customer. We were trying to assess all these pain areas and decided to invest significantly in Research and Development, with an objective to come up with a solution that can alleviate as many issues as possible.
